At Real Stones, your trust and peace of mind are important to us. To ensure your gemstones reach you safely and securely, we offer comprehensive in-transit insurance on all eligible orders.
1. What is In-Transit Insurance?
In-transit insurance protects your purchase from loss, theft, or damage during shipping—from the moment it leaves our facility until it is successfully delivered to your address.
2. Coverage Details
Our in-transit insurance covers:
- Loss of shipment in transit due to courier mishandling or misplacement.
- Theft or tampering during transit before delivery.
- Physical damage to the gemstone or package occurring while in the custody of the courier company.
Note: Coverage applies only until successful delivery is confirmed by the courier partner.
3. Eligibility
- Insurance is automatically included on all orders containing gemstones shipped through our approved courier partners.
- Only shipments made through authorized logistics services and to valid addresses are eligible for coverage.
4. Claim Process
If you suspect loss or damage during transit, please follow these steps:
- 1. Report the issue within 24 hours of the delivery attempt or upon noticing damage.
- 2. Send us an email at info@realstones.in with:
- Order ID
- Photos of the package (outer and inner), damaged item, and invoice
- A short description of the issue
- 3. We will coordinate with the courier company and initiate an investigation.
- 4. After verification, we may issue a replacement or full refund, as applicable.
5. Exclusions
In-transit insurance does not cover:
- Damage or loss reported after 24 hours of confirmed delivery.
- Situations where the delivery was marked as “delivered” and received by the customer or a representative at the delivery location.
- Unboxing videos/photos not provided (if requested for high-value claims).
- Customer mishandling after delivery.
